Haylage/Hay
We have been producing high quality hay and haylage at our own farm since 1997. We have no livestock and the grass we grow is solely produced for our hay and haylage. We use specialist grass mixtures containing mainly Italian and Perennial Ryegrasses which produce the very best haylage.
We take great care to make sure that our crops are free from weeds and contamination to ensure that all you get in your bales is haylage.
We produce haylage in both conventional sized and big square bales. We use a minimum of 8 layers of wrap to make the bales airtight and to guard against damage from rehandling - in the last 2 years we have had 0% losses on the haylage we produced.
Our big bale haylage is wrapped as soon as it comes out of the baler and then cleared to stack where it is protected from bird damage by cover nets.
Our conventional bale haylage is transported to the yard as soon as it is baled and wrapped at the stack. This ensures that the bales are wrapped quickly and that the wrapped bales are only handled manually once wrapped to prevent risk of damage.
We also supply straw in conventional and big square bales as well as baled shavings.
Products can be collected from our premises or delivery can be arranged at reasonable cost.
